On a gorgeous early winter’s day, we sat in circle outside in the warm sun working through some prompts from the guidance materials on the page: https://pachamama.org/earth-listening-circles#/
The ritual is crafted by Andean ceremonial leader, healer, and author Arkan Lushwala.
Listen to Arkan here (youtube 4 minutes)
Like giving a prompt to a genAI you never quite know what you will get as we were listening to the earth and other humans:
- reminded of gravity and how humans are built to respond to it or give our selfs to it and sink into the earth
- encouraged to sit on the Nullabor cliffs looking out over the great southern oceans
- that fossil fuel origin plastics are so last year and plant based plastics are the way to go
- that being with bees keeps you focussed from ‘busy mind’ – “being there”:)
- that healthy soil will tell you if plastics need to be removed
- that frogs and spiders and insects are always there around us if we only think to look quietly at the world around us.
- that time and perspective will keep us sane as we go through this transition to somewhere more hopeful together
- that facing our fears and opening our hearts is a good thing to do in connection.
Whatever we heard and could say to share, we were certainly grounded and nourished by the discussion.
Find a few humans and try to listen together to the Earth our mother. It will be amazing what you will hear.
If you can’t get out or don’t know anyone, listen to the animals of Australia and imagine. https://listeningearth.com/LE/b-1-location-australia
