Love, Compassion and Naming Gratitudes
June 15, 2025More and more I hear people start to talk about compassion .. for self and for others. It’s a natural response in difficult or uncertain times. Grace is compassion’s sister.
An author I really respect once said at a public talk when asked about hope for the world, that it all comes down to love. And this person had seen a lot of the world and its people. Wonderful that they were resilient enough to still have faith in people and love.
I find naming gratitudes very helpful especially as I transition into the winter season (on grey winter days, I feel glum).
I encourage you to find something to be grateful for each day or when the thoughts turn to negatives.
A habit of recording 3 gratitudes each day really does help (scientifically proven!). Start with one and work up to 3. I journal/use a social platform to record mine (it makes for nice memories when it pops up on the feed).
I host a META Facebook group – practical and positive – positive psychology notes for busy people.
It’s my way of sharing what I learnt during my Diploma of positive psychology and am still learning to apply everyday,
And I am sharing another way to remind yourself that you have meaningful connections and show that you appreciate others ….more creatively … below is a CANVA Challenge I did earlier (during the COVID years) – it was one of the first playing with CANVA 🙂
It captures who I was interacting with at the time.
